The 18 days Uganda Primates and Tanzania wildlife safari is an exceptional safari that will take you to different destinations including Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park and Serengeti National Park in Tanzania where you will be able to enjoy views of animals like elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, zebras, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeests, elands, cheetahs, gazelle, dik dik among others during the game drives. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport on day 1 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to the hotel in Entebbe.
Day 2: Transfer to the source of the Nile boat cruise
You will have breakfast at leisure on day 2 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, check out of the hotel, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Jinja via Mabira forest, Sezibwa Falls upon arrival you will go for an interesting source of the Nile boat cruise. After the boat cruise, you will drive to the lodge for lunch where after you will spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3: White water rafting and transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast on day 3 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a white water rafting adventure which starts with a briefing where you will start the adventure following different rapids. After the white water rafting experience, you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast on day 4 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Kibale Forest National Park. It’s a whole day drive and on the way you will have en-route lunch and enjoy stunning views of the farmlands, Rwenzori Mountains, tea plantations, Lake Gorge, and crater lakes among others. Upon arrival in Kibale National Park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee habituation experience
Chimpanzee habituation
After an early breakfast on day 5 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee habituation briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated an experienced park guide who is well conversant with trails in the forest and start trekking in the forest which takes a whole day. During trekking, you will be able to spot other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, some bird species, and plants among others. Once the chimpanzees are found you will be allowed to spend four hours with them in their natural habitat which helps you to learn and monitor their behaviors, watch them feed, breastfeed, fight, hunt, groom young ones, take photos and record the moments. After the face-to-face encounter with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast on day 6 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way you will enjoy great views of the crater lakes, and tea plantations, and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for lunch where after you will go for an afternoon game drive where you will be able to view animals like buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, view predators like lions, leopards, hyenas among others.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Morning game drive,
After an early breakfast on day 7 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive or lion tracking experience in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will have great views of animals like buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, giant forest hogs, elephants, bushbucks, lions, leopards, and hyenas, and views of different bird species among others. After the fascinating game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise,
After lunch you will go for an exciting boat cruise which is carried out on Kazinga channel a 40km long channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake Gorge. The boat cruise starts at around 2:00 pm and rewards you will breathtaking views of large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in water, views of elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes along the shores, water birds like kingfishers, fish eagles, hornbills, cormorants, bee-eaters among others. After the boat cruise which takes about 2 hours you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast on day 8 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On the way you will have a stopover for en-route lunch and then continue the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi National Park and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early breakfast on day 9 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be allocated an experienced park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas and start trekking in the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas which takes a whole day. During trekking, you will be able to view different bird species, other primates, plant and tree species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be able to spend four hours with them which gives you an opportunity to learn and monitor their behaviors, and habits, engage in the naming process, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos, and record the fascinating moments.
After a breath-taking encounter with the gentle giants, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla habituation experience and then meet up with your guide to transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park which takes about 2 to 3 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Golden monkey trekking
After an early breakfast on day 10 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of golden monkey trekking. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest which takes about 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on where the golden monkeys are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. Once the golden monkeys are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their environment where you will be able to watch them feed, play, jump up on tree branches, take photos, and record videos.
After the encounter with the golden monkeys, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in golden monkey trekking, meet up with your driver guide to return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Kampala/ Entebbe
On day 11 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. On the way, you will have en-route lunch and a stopover at the Equator where you will be able to take photos and buy souvenirs. From the Equator, you will proceed to Kampala arriving early evening, and upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at the hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Departure flight to Arusha
On day 12 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Entebbe airport for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up by our driver guide and transferred to the hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Transfer to Serengeti national park
On day 13 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Serengeti National Park with en-route lunch on the way. Upon arrival in the park, you will connect to the lodge with a game drive en route, evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 14&15: Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park, Hot air balloon
After an early breakfast on day 14 and 15 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to central Serengeti for a full-day game drive where you will be able to view animals like buffaloes, elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, gazelle, jackals, view various bird species among others. You will have a picnic lunch in the wilderness and then proceed with the game drive where after you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 16: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area, Ngorongoro crater drive
After breakfast on day 16 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. Upon arrival, you will drive to the Ngorongoro crater where you will descend into the crater for a game drive where you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, elephants, dik-dik, lions, leopards, hyenas among others, you will also be able to view bird species like the flamingos among others. After the crater drive, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 17: Transfer to Tarangire national park-game drive
After breakfast on day 17 of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel to transfer to Tarangire National Park which is found in the northern part of Tanzania and known for harbouring large herds of elephants and also the ancient baobab trees. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and later go for an afternoon game drive in the park where you will be able to spot animals like elephants, zebras, waterbucks, gazelle, impalas, view various bird species among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 18: Departure to Arusha
On the last day of the 18 days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Arusha with views of animals on the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at the airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advise.
