Detailed Itinerary

Your 1 Day Bwindi Safari from Rwanda starts with you being picked up from your hotel/apartment by our driver-guide. The safari starts as early as 4:30 am for a 4 hours’ scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Cyanika border point. You will arrive at the part and be transferred to the park headquarters from where you will meet other gorilla trekkers. You will be briefed about your gorilla trekking adventure by park officials who also share the rules and regulations to be followed during the trek. After, you will be placed in groups of 8 and then allocated a gorilla family to trek. 

You will then start your gorilla trekking in Bwindi adventure at 8am along with park rangers. Once you encounter the gorillas, you will be allowed only one with them. Enjoy your time with them, get to watch them as they go about their daily life of feeding, collecting food, playing, grooming each other among others. During the trek, you can keep an eye out for other park animals like chimpanzees, bush pigs, forest elephants among others as well as various bird species. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi can take between 2-6 hours or more depending on the location of the gorillas and the terrain. You will enjoy your packed lunch in the jungle.

After, you will trek back to the starting point from where you will receive your gorilla trekking certificate and then proceed with your driver-guide for a transfer back to Rwanda for a drop off to your hotel/apartment or airport for your outbound flight.
