Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

• Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park: On day 1 of the safari, you will be picked up by our company representative either from your hotel or from Entebbe international airport upon landing, have a briefing about your safari and then embark on the road drive to Queen Elizabeth national park with an en-route lunch on the way. Upon arrival at the park, you will check into your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and afternoon Kazinga channel boat cruise

• Game drive and boat cruise: After breakfast on day 2, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kasenyi plains which has the most thrilling vegetation cover best for game drives. During the game drive in Kasenyi plains, you will encounter plenty wildlife species including buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, several species of birds and many other wildlife that thrill in this stunning vegetation cover.  After the game drive is done, you will return to the lodge for a meal during lunch break and then embark on an afternoon Kazinga channel boat cruise where you will view a good number of aquatic wildlife including Nile crocodiles, hippos, spot water birds without forgetting other mammals that gather around the channel especially during hot sun to quench their thirst. Once the boat cruise is done, you will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and have an overnight.

Day 3: Ishasha game drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

• Game drive and transfer to Bwindi: Enjoy your breakfast in the morning on day 3, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector for another fascinating game drive experience where you will view the tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, you will enjoy lunch and later exit Queen Elizabeth national park to proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the largest population of endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitats and the only destination in Uganda where gorilla habituation experience is conducted within Rushaga sector. Upon arrival at the park, you will check-in, have dinner served and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi impenetrable national park

• Gorilla habituation: Breakfast will be served as early as possible, carry packed lunch, drinking water and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters where briefing will be conducted. After the briefing, hire a porter and start trekking in the forest in search of gorilla family that is under habituation process together with park guides, armed rangers and researchers.  The best thing with gorilla habituation experience is that it enables you to stay closer to gorillas being habituated for about 4 hours unlike gorilla trekking that offer just one hour with gorillas. During gorilla habituation experience look out for other wildlife species that thrill in Bwindi impenetrable national park including other primates, mammals, birds, butterflies and unique plant species that makeup the eco system of Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala

• Transfer to Kampala: After breakfast at the lodge on the last day of the safari, you will check out of the lodge, meet up with your safari driver to embark on the journey back to Kampala with views of the rolling hills of Kigezi, flat farmlands and all other stunning vegetation cover along the way. You will have en-route lunch at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara and after lunch proceed the journey with a stopover at the Equator for some photographs and then continue to Kampala arriving early evening and upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Entebbe international airport or drop off at any place of advise.
