The 4 days fly in double gorilla trekking safari is an adventurous primate safari that starts and ends from Kampala. The safari will take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is located in south western Uganda which harbours the highest number of mountain gorillas which are found in four sectors namely Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo and Rushaga. During the 4 days Uganda double gorilla trekking safari, you will get an opportunity to spend time with different mountain gorillas in different gorilla sectors.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of the 4 days fly in double gorilla trekking safari, you will connect for your domestic flight to Kihihi airstrip. Upon arrival, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will check into the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure and later have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: First gorilla trekking in Ruhija sector Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 4 days fly in double gorilla trekking safari, you will carry packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing you will start trekking in the jungle which takes about 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking you will enjoy views of other wildlife species, other primates, variety of bird species, view different plant and tree species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to observe their habits, behavior, watch them feed, play, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos and record videos to show people back home after the safari.
After the interesting one hour with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and later meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the Buhoma sector in the northern part of Bwindi impenetrable national park. Upon arrival, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Second gorilla trekking and Optional Batwa cultural tour
After an early breakfast on the third day of the 4 days fly in double gorilla trekking safari, you will carry your packed food and transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing trekking where after you will start trekking in the forest in search of the mountain gorillas which takes about 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. Once the golden monkeys are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat.
After the one hour encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide and go for an optional Batwa cultural tour where you will be able to learn about their culture, lifestyle, way of living, visit their homesteads, learn about their hunting and gathering skills, enjoy their local dishes, traditional entertainments among others. After the batwa cultural tour, you will transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Fly to Entebbe airport
After an early breakfast on the last day of the 4 days fly in double gorilla trekking safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe airport
