A 3 Day Uganda Big Five Safari is a short safari package that leads you to the northwestern Uganda region to visit Murchison Falls National Park. The park is Uganda’s oldest and largest, covering an area of about 3845 square kilometers that harbors over 86 mammals and more than 450 bird species.
It is home to the big four mammals, such as lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards, among others. Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only one in Uganda to see rhinos.
A visit to both Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary will bring up a full package exploration of all the Big five mammals such as African lions, elephants, Cape buffaloes, leopard and rhinoceroses. Activities to engage in include Rhino tracking, game drive and a boat cruise on the Nile delta.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park- Rhino Tracking
You will be picked up at your hotel in Kampala around 6:40 am by our safari drive guide, who will brief you about the safari. Thereafter, you will transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Proceed to Masindi town for picnic lunch.
After, continue to Murchison National Park by driving directly to the top of the falls, where you will have a great view of thunderous waterfalls and enjoy taking memorable pictures. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Pakuba safari lodge -Midrange, Nile Safari Lodge -Luxury.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After morning breakfast at the lodge, embark on the morning game drive in the park around the Nile delta. Expecting to sight-see a variety of animals like Lions, Elephants, Cape buffaloes, Spotted hyenas, Jackson’s Hartebeest, waterbuck, Oribis, bushbuck, and Leopards among others. Enjoy hot lunch at the lodge.
Later on, you will go for the boat cruise at the bottom of the falls. You will be able to cruise near Hippos, crocodiles, Elephants, waterbucks and Uganda Kobs. You will also witness various water birds such as Goliath herons, Egyptian Geese, Pelicans, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, hornbills, the rare Shoebill stork, and cormorants. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight stay as above.
Day 3: Depart to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Enjoy breakfast at leisure, and thereafter go for a cultural encounter around the Victoria Nile and listen to their local songs and drummers.
Later on, you will start the journey back to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
