It can also be reached by traveling from Kigali, Rwanda, which takes a 4- to 5-hour drive. Road transport is rewarding. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:  Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Start your safari from your hotel in Kampala and be briefed about the safari by our expert driver-guide. You will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in the southwestern Uganda region with a stopover at the equator for unique pictures. Proceed to Mbarara town for picnic lunch. After, continue to Lake Bunyonyi, passing via Kibale town. Arrive at the lake, check into the lodge, dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Tour around Lake Bunyonyi—Canoeing, birding and Community walks

Wake up and have breakfast before going to visit the Batwa community to learn about their amazing lifestyle and listen to their story. Back to the lodge for rest and lunch.

Later, you will go canoeing along the lake, where you will have chances to see various birds, and visit the Islands where you will be able to view the bird nests set in idyllic isolation on the tranquil water. Or opt to do cycling around the area.

Back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Birding/nature walk – Return to Kampala /Entebbe Airport

 Wake up have breakfast at the lodge, then go for birding around the area with high chances of spotting various bird species like white-tailed blue monads, weavers, herons, African harrier hawks, egrets and many more.

Return to the lodge, check out and drive back to Kampala with a picnic lunch.

Arriving in Kampala in the evening to be dropped off at your hotel or at any convenient place.
