The 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari will take you to different destinations in Tanzania including Lake Manyara national park which is home to the tree climbing lions, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti and Tarangire national parks where you will be able to enjoy views of different animals like elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, zebras, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeests, elands, cheetahs, gazelle, dik dik among others during the game drives and walking safari.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to the hotel in Arusha
Depending on your arrival time at the airport on the first day of the 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to the hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park-game drive/ walking safari
After having an early breakfast at your hotel on the second day of the 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari, your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park which is home to the tree-climbing lions and also elephants and other wildlife species. You will also engage in a game drive and explore Lake Manyara National Park, and enjoy seeing the diverse scenery of the national park. You will also look out for different wildlife species around the national park such as antelopes, gazelles, buffalos, leopards, waterbucks, monkeys, baboons among others as well as different bird species.
After your game drive, you will go for a walking safari where you will be able to get up-close with different animals, enjoy great views of the scenery, among others. After the nature walk, proceed to the lodge for check in, Dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park en-route game drive
On the third day of the 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, checkout of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Serengeti National Park with en-route lunch and stunning views of highlands, scenery, traditional homesteads among others on the way. Upon arrival in the park, you will proceed to the lodge with a game drive en-route, evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 & 5: Full day game drives in Serengeti national park, optional hot air balloon
After an early breakfast on the fourth and fifth day of the 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to north Serengeti for a game drive which takes about 2 to 3 hours’ drive. You will be able to view animals like buffaloes, elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, various bird species among others, explore the Mara River where you will be able to see the Mara River crossing if you are lucky. You will have a picnic lunch in the wilderness and then proceed with the game drive where after you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area – Olduvai Gorge
On the sixth day of the 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have a stopover at Olduvai Gorge where you will be able to learn about the historical findings of Dr Louis and Mary Leaky and then proceed to the conservation area for a game drive on the crater rim where you will spot different wildlife animals like giraffes, listen to bird species in tree branches, enjoy the cool and quiet environment among others. After the game drive, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Ngorongoro crater drive and transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast on the seventh day of the 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a drive to the Ngorongoro crater where you will descend 600 meters into the crater for a game drive where you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, elephants, dik dik, lions, leopards, hyenas among others, you will also be able to view bird species like the flamingos among others.
After the crater drive, you will drive out of the park to transfer to Tarangire National Park which is known for harboring large herds of elephants and also the ancient baobab trees. Upon arrival, you will connect to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Game drive in Tarangire national park and departure to Arusha
On the last day of the 8 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to go for game drive in the park where you will be able to spot animals like elephants, zebras, waterbucks, gazelle, impalas, view various bird species among others. After the game drive, you will have a picnic lunch and later start the journey to Arusha. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at the airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advise.
