Trekkers below the age of 15 years are not allowed to trek the mountain Gorillas and you are advised to go with your age bracket mates not 90 year olds trekking with a 20 year as the pace of trekking will be difficult.
Do some physical fitness before travel because this will help one to hike down and up the slopes to the destined gorilla family and at times it’s hard depending on the location where the mountain Gorilla family is allocated.
Trekking in Rwanda, the Susa family needs more physical fitness and Kwitonda family & Hirwa family and the rest do not need much physical fitness.
Trekking in Uganda, Bwindi impenetrable National park has thick vegetation you will need enough fitness to trek the endangered species. Trek the Nshongi gorilla family which does not need more energy. Rushegura family group is one of also the simple groups it’s located in Buhoma sector. Trekking In Nkuringo sector one needs to be physically fit and the rest are simple hikes.
