The distance between Bwindi and Volcanoes National Park is short. From Kigali National Park, it takes a 3 hour drive to reach Volcanoes National Park since Rwanda is a small country. While in Bwindi, the park covers 600 km from the city of Kampala, Uganda; it takes about 10 hours to drive.
However, there are flights between Entebbe International Airport and Kajjansi Airfield to Kihihi and Ishasha Airstrip. Tourists can thereafter transfer to Bwindi Forest.
The driving distance from Volcanoes National Park to Bwindi needs 2 hours and 29 minutes. Some people prefer to travel and trek in two national parks or one would do other activities in Volcanoes National Park and option for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking.
