Cost of Gorilla Trekking in Uganda;

Gorilla trekking is an activity which takes place in Bwindi Impenetrable National park Uganda and Mgahinga National park.

When considering the cost of Gorilla trekking in Uganda, note that the gorilla permit costs 800 USD per person for foreign non residents, 700 USD per person for foreign residents and 300,000 UGX per person for East African citizens. In the past years. Uganda also offers low season gorilla permits at 600 USD per person for foreign non residents and 500 USD per person for foreign residents in the months of April to May and November. There are about 25 gorilla habituated families and only eight people are allowed to trek the mountain Gorilla family every day. Book your gorilla permit three months before travel.

Contact a trusted tour operator who is under the Uganda umbrella of Association of Uganda Tour operators who will be in charge of your gorilla trekking safari.

Inform the tour operator your dates of travel and the company will send bank details, or use a credit card for payment.

They will after acknowledge receipt of payment, send in your copy of passport, this is need for registration of a gorilla permit to know the nationality, names, status and passport number.

After registration you will acquire your gorilla trekking permit in any of the sectors, Bwindi has four gorilla trekking sectors including Buhoma in the north, Nkuringo in the south, Rushaga in the south and Ruhija in the east.
