2024 park entrance fees to Bwindi impenetrable national park; park entrance fees are charges levied by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to all people and vehicles per day before accessing Bwindi impenetrable national park. The national park is located in southwestern part of Uganda on the edge of the rift valley. Bwindi impenetrable national park was gazetted in 1991 mainly to protect the endangered mountain gorillas and was declared a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1994 due to its rich diversity. Bwindi impenetrable national park covers a total land area of 321 square kilometers and harbors about 120 mammal species including forest elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, primates like mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, and more than 350 bird species including the 23 Albertine rift endemics.

Entrance fees are independent of package activities such as gorilla trekking, bird watching and a day’s entrance ticket to Bwindi impenetrable national park is valid for twenty four hours from the time of entrance hence extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day. All visitors will be required to present valid identification documents to confirm resident status, children are persons aged between 5 to 15 years and persons below 5 years are exempt.

Foreign non residents are charged 40 USD per person, 30 USD per person for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.
Children
Foreign non residents are charged 20 USD per child, 10 USD per child for foreign residents and 5,000 UGX per child for East African citizens.
Uganda pupils or students in a group are charged 3,000 UGX per person
Tertiary institutions/ universities are charged 5,000 UGX per person
Uganda wildlife clubs are charged 2,000 UGX per person
Annual park entrance passes
Annual park entrance pass applies to all protected areas for foreign residents in Uganda and East African citizens only, vehicle entrance is paid separately. Annual park entrance pass is not valid for package activities like gorilla trekking and foreign residents require a work permit valid for one year to qualify for an annual pass.

Foreign residents are charged 350 USD per person and 150,000 UGX per person for East African citizens
Couple
Foreign residents are charged 500 USD per couple and 200,000 UGX per couple for East African citizens
Family with a maximum number of 4 children
Foreign residents are charged 700 USD and 300,000 UGX for East African citizens
Annual corporate pass
Foreign residents are charged 1,500 USD and 2,500,000 UGX for East African citizens
Safari guides and taxi drivers are charged 100,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Aircraft landing fees
Aircraft landing fees excludes entry fees payable by passengers, pilots en-route do not pay entry fees if they spend less than 2 hours in the park.
Glinders, microlights for foreign non residents is charged 10 USD, 10 USD for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Up to 3 seater aircraft is charged 20 USD for foreign non residents, 20 USD for foreign residents and 40,000 UGX for East African citizens.
4 to 6 seater aircraft is charged 30 USD for foreign non residents, 30 USD for foreign residents and 60,000 UGX for East African citizens.
7 to 14 seater aircraft is charged 40 USD for foreign non residents, 40 USD for foreign residents and 80,000 UGX for East African citizens.
15 to 20 seater aircraft is charged 50 USD for foreign non residents, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens.
21 seater and above is charged 60 USD for foreign non residents, 60 USD for foreign residents and 120,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Helicopter for foreign non residents is charged 100 USD per landing, 125 USD for foreign residents and 250,000 UGX for East African citizens.
