The 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure is an extra ordinary adventure that will take you to different destinations including Maasai Mara national park, Ngorongoro conservation area and Serengeti national park where you will be able to enjoy great views of animals like elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, zebras, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeests, elands, cheetahs, gazelle, dik dik among others during the game drives. The 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, will also take you to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda where you will be able to spend time with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Depending on your arrival time at Kigali International airport on the first day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then go for a short city tour in Kigali where you will be able to visit the Kigali genocide memorial Centre, Kimironko market, art Centre’s, museums among others. After the city tour, you will have lunch and later start the journey to Volcanoes national park. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours’ drive and on the way you will enjoy views of the rolling hills, traditional homesteads, landscape among others. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Ibyi’wacu cultural tour

After an early breakfast on the second day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be divided in groups of 8 people where each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is knowledgeable about gorilla trekking trails Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on their location and during trekking you will be able to view different bird species, other primates, plant and tree species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be able to spend one hour with them which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their lifestyle, behaviours, habits, take photos, watch them carry out their daily activities and record the fascinating memories to show people back home.
After a breath-taking encounter with the gentle giants, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then meet up with your guide and then meet up with your guide to go for an interesting Ibyi’wacu cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the local people in the community, learn about their culture, history, listen to their ancient stories, visit their homesteads, enjoy their traditional performance among others. After the cultural tour, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali for your flight to Nairobi-Kenya
After breakfast on the third day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and later transfer to Kigali International airport for your departure flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be picked by our driver guide from the airport and transfer to the hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve, evening game drive
On the fourth day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel in Nairobi to transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve with en-route lunch and stunning views of the landscape, scenery, rift valley escarpments among others. Upon arrival, you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view different animals like elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, lions, elands among others. After the game drive, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full day game drive in Maasai Mara
After an early breakfast on the fifth day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a full day game drive in the reserve where you will be able to view various animals like buffaloes, rhinos, gazelle, elephants, elands among others grazing in the open savannah plains, view predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs among others. In the middle of the day, you will have a picnic lunch and then continue with the afternoon game drive where you will be able to view other wildlife species. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Morning game drive and Maasai cultural tour
After an early breakfast on the sixth of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for another morning game drive in the reserve where you will get an opportunity to spot some of the animals that you might have missed during the previous game drives
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch where after you will go for an interesting Maasai cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Maasai people, learn about their culture, tradition, way of living, enjoy their traditional performance among others. After the cultural tour, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer from Maasai Mara to Serengeti national park
On the seventh day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, you will have an early breakfast, checkout of the lodge with your packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Serengeti national park. The journey takes about 5 hours’ drive to Isibania, the border crossing between Kenya and Tanzania and from the border it also takes about 5 hours’ drive to Serengeti national park with stunning views of wildlife and highlands on the way. Upon arrival in the park, you will proceed to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast on the eighth day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to Serengeti for a full day game drive where you will be able to view animals like buffaloes, elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, gazelle, jackals, view various bird species among others. You will have a picnic lunch in the wilderness and then proceed with the game drive where after you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Olduvai Gorge
On the ninth day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have a stopover at Olduvai Gorge where you will be able to learn about the historical findings of Dr Louis and Mary Leaky and then proceed to the conservation area for a game drive on the crater rim where you will spot different wildlife animals like giraffes, listen to bird species in tree branches, enjoy the cool and quiet environment among others. After the game drive, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Ngorongoro crater drive and departure to Arusha
After breakfast on the last day of the 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Maasai Mara and Serengeti adventure, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a drive to the Ngorongoro crater where you will descend 600 meters into the crater for a game drive where you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, elephants, dik dik, lions, leopards, hyenas among others, you will also be able to view bird species like the flamingos among others.
After the crater drive, you will drive out of the park to transfer to Arusha with views of animals on the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at the airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advise.
