Ruhijha gorilla guesthouse is a budget accommodation found in Ruhijha sector , south western part of Uganda at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park (home of more endangered mountain gorillas for gorilla trekking activity ) Uganda Region. The camp is 90 minutes’ drive from Kabale and an hour and 20 minutes from Lake bunyonyi . The camp is near gorilla the trekking point .One can be at camp by road or Air transport from Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip.  It takes approximately 8 hour drive (540km) from kampala by road to Bwindi and one and half hour flight from Entebbe to kisoro airstrip. The lodge has a calm and beautiful natural environment with a breathtaking view from the forest.

Ruhijha Gorilla guest house consists of 5 spacious and comfortable rooms on a raised deck overlooking the forest that are built in traditional building style with natural materials of local woods.   Rooms are well elevated, decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, hot and cold running showers, mosquito nets, free toiletries, free bottled water, slippers, towels and many more. Rooms have terraces, larges sitting areas with private wooden balconies you relax while enjoying the stunning breathtaking view of the canopy forest and surrounding areas. Rooms have excellent and comfortable beds with clean beddings. Rooms vary in different sizes with single beds for individuals, double beds /twin, triple and family cottages.

Meals include; Breakfast, Lunch, dinner both in and dinner . You can have meals in any place of your choice either in the dining area or outside in the garden overlooking the forest canopy .

A well- stocked bar with both hard and soft drinks, You relax en sip the cocktail especially in the evening while overlooking the forest and surrounding areas.

Bwindi forest  Impenetrable national park is the best and  most visited national park  in  south western part of Uganda in Kanungu district. The park is the home of  more endangered mountain gorillas  over  19 gorilla groups in the park. The park occupies the total area of 330.8 square kilo meters. There are  more than  600 mountain gorillas in Bwindi national park of which  19 gorilla families are habituated . The park consists of different 4 sectors  namely;  Nkuringo sector,  Rushaga Sector , Buhoma sector and  Ruhijha sectors where gorilla trekking takes place.  The lodge is found in Ruhijha Sector which is the home of three gorilla families  namely;  Bitukura , Kyaguriro and oruzongo . Nkuringo and Nyakagezi can also be tracked while staying in Ruhijha location . Ruhijha sector is the best and most visited sector with beautiful view of the forest canopy compared to other sectors thus making up Bwindi Impenetrable national park.  Gorilla permit in bwindi  is at 700$ but it will be at 800$ in 2024 July. There are more than seven hundred and eighty six mountain gorillas in the whole world. Uganda hold close to half of their total population, and the majority of them live in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, whereas the others are found in Mgahinga national Park.  Bwindi Impenetrable national park has different accommodations in all sectors; Budget , Mid range and luxury accommodation . The  best place to visit  Bwindi impenetrable national park is  Feb, March ,  June, July , September, October  and December .
