Lake Chahati resort is the mid -range accommodation found on the shores of lake Chahafi in Kisoro  south western Part of Uganda region , just 20 minutes’ drive from Kisoro Town  close to Rwandan Border. The resort has a twin lake called Lake Kayumbu ,its  set on 4 acres of landscape overlooking the Beautiful Volcanic Mountains and surrounding areas. The resort is located 11km from Kyanika border, 45 Minutes’ drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park and 40 minutes, Mgahinga National Park and 17km from Muhabura gate .

One can be at the resort either by road or air transport in approximately (562km)  9-10hrs drive from Kampala via masaka and Mbarara  and 2hrs flight from Entebbe international airport to kisoro airstrip then 11km to be transferred to lodge.

The flights always depart Entebbe early morning and mid- morning to Kisoro.

Mara legend safari Camp consists of 9 elegant and comfortable rooms of which 5 are double rooms, 3 twin standard rooms and 1 triple room overlooking the stunning view of the lake and surrounding mountain Landscape.  The resort offers king twin/ doubles beds for sharing, individual beds (single) and suitable for family/ group of 3 as well .All rooms reflect traditional building style with natural materials of Thatched roofing and Modern blending designs.  Each room is well  elevated ,decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, inside hot water & cold showers,  mosquito nets, Wooden chairs & Tables, dressing Mirrors and tables, Hair driers , Complementary Bottled water, free toiletries , white duvet and pillows to mention but  a few.  Each tent has large sitting areas, veranda with a vintage view point of the lake, distant mountain and surrounding areas.

Kisoro  is a town  situated in the south western part of Uganda on the border of Both Democratic Republic of congo and Rwanda. Kisoro Has Many attractions , Hotels and Restaurnts That attracts many visitors. Kisoro Is the Home for Mgahinga and Bwindi that have various attacctions, Forests, lake flora and Fauna and Birdlife . While in Kisoro you can visit Mgahinga national park that covers the total area of about 33.7 sq kilometers, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is found in the Virunga Mountains and encompasses three inactive volcanoes, namely Mount Muhabura, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabyinyo. The park has over 39 species of mammals with more gorillas and endangered golden monkeys which attract tourists from different countries. Other animals include; buffaloes, leopard, bush bucks, spotted hyena and over 79 bird species. Mgahinga national park has over 80 Mountain gorillas but with one habituated gorilla family known as” Nyakagezi gorilla family” .

Golden monkey permit is at 100$ 100$ and a gorilla permit at 700$ . Mgahinga national park has enough food that’s why other primates migrate from congo and Rwanda to this park.
