Buhoma community camp
Buhoma community camp is a 3 star mid- range accommodation found within the pristine of the thick Ugandas’ Famous Bwindi impenetrable forest national park (The home of more endangered mountain gorillas) southwestern part of Uganda. The lodge is near the trekking point. One can be at lodge by road taking approximately 8 hour drive (540km) from kampala via Mbarara KABALE and one and half hour flight from Entebbe to the close Kihihi airstrip the a hour to be transferred to the lodge . The lodge has a calm and beautiful natural environment with a breathtaking view from the forest and surrounding areas.
Buhoma gorilla lodge consists of over 5 elegant and comfortable cottages with the stunning views of canopy forest built in African traditional style with local wood with Comfortable proximity. Each room is Well decorated, elevated with wooden platform and furnished with high standards of facilities such as mosquito nets, satellites, extinguishers, en-suite flushing toilets, hot and cold running showers, complementary bottled water, free toiletries, etc. Rooms have terraces, sitting areas and wooden balconies you relax while enjoying the stunning breathtaking view of the canopy forest and Virunga Mountains. Rooms have excellent and clean Comfortable beddings , The lodge has fire places with comfortable chairs where guests relax and share stories/ experience about the safari , it also provides warmth to the guests during night, Rooms are configured with single beds , double ,twin, triple and family cottages. Rooms cost 250$ and above per person per night and its always slightly high in peak season.

Bwindi forest Impenetrable national park is the best and most visited national park in south western part of Uganda in Kanungu district. The park is the home of more endangered mountain gorillas over 19 gorilla groups in the park. The park occupies the total area of 330.8 square kilo meters. There are more than 600 mountain gorillas in Bwindi national park of which 19 gorilla families are habituated . The park consists of different 4 sectors namely; Nkuringo sector, Rushaga Sector , Buhoma sector and Ruhijha sectors where gorilla trekking takes place. The lodge is found in Buhoma Sector which is the home of Four habituated gorilla families namely; Mubare gorilla family, Habinyanja, Rushegura and Katwe gorilla families. Ruhijha sector can also be tracked while staying in buhoma location . Buhoma sector is the best and most visited sector with beautiful view of the forest canopy compared to other sectors thus making up Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Gorilla permit in bwindi is 700$ for non-foreign residents . There are more than seven hundred and eighty six mountain gorillas in the whole world. Uganda hold close to half of their total population, and the majority of them live in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, whereas the others are found in Mgahinga national Park. Bwindi Impenetrable national park has different accommodations in all sectors; Budget , Mid- range and luxury accommodation . The best place to visit Bwindi impenetrable national park is Feb, March , June, July , September, October and December . There are many activities to do while in the park include; Gorilla trekking experience, gorilla habituation experience, Batwa trail , cultural experience (traditional dances), bird watching/birding since the forest has differentbird species , nature and forest walk, community tours in Bwindi forest, Visiting lake bunyonyi and lake mutanda , golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga national park and many other activities.
